C2DM was officially deprecated on June 26, 2012, and was shut down completely as of July 30, 2015. Existing C2DM developers are encouraged to migrate to Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM).

Firebase雲訊息傳遞（英語：Firebase Cloud Messaging，通常簡稱FCM），也稱Firebase雲資訊傳遞，前身為Google雲端通訊（GCM），是一項針對Android、iOS及網路應用程式的訊息與通知的跨平台解決方案，目前可免費使用。[1]

該服務由Google擁有的Firebase公司提供。Firebase已於2014年10月21日宣布被Google收購，價格未公布。[2]Google雲端通訊的官方網站現已指向Firebase雲訊息傳遞，視作新版Google雲端通訊。[3]

Google雲端通訊（英語：Google Cloud Messaging，簡稱GCM）是一項免費服務，幫助開發者從伺服器傳送資料到安裝了他們的應用程式的Android裝置上，或從伺服器到其Chrome瀏覽器應用程式或擴充。[1][2]Android雲端推播服務第一次亮相是在2012年6月27日在舊金山Moscone中心舉行的Google I/O 2012。[3]Chrome上的推播服務在Google I/O 2013之前發布，官方部落格文章題為「用推播訊息構建高效的應用程式和擴充」。[4]

Google雲端通訊（GCM）取代了beta版本的Android雲端至裝置推播（簡稱C2DM）。[5]免費服務可以傳送一個輕量級的從伺服器取得的新訊息通知到Android應用程式。較大的訊息可以傳送有效載荷的資料為4 KB[6]。

該服務目前已被同公司的Firebase雲訊息傳遞（FCM）取代。
