Taipei, Taiwan, May 31, 2016
– At COMPUTEX Taipei 2016, QNAP® Systems, Inc. (at Stand J0830) got the show started with its visionary QIoT Containers – a private IoT cloud platform – and demonstrated a wide range of NAS solutions from multimedia applications, SMB storage, enterprise storage centers, and numerous other new products and features. QNAP also cooperated with HGST®, Seagate®, Toshiba® and WD® at COMPUTEX 2016 to showcase joint solutions for QNAP NAS with a wide range of HDDs and SSDs.
QIoT Containers: QNAP’s private IoT cloud platform
QIoT Containers is an extension to QNAP’s robust Container Station that supports LXC and Docker® containerized apps suited for microservices-based architectural patterns as applied to IoT systems. With QIoT Containers, QNAP is launching multiple containers (including Ponte, Node-RED, Kafka, Dashing, Freeboard, Redis, MongoDB, RabbitMQ, and MariaDB) that can be used to define private IoT stacks on QNAP NAS. QIoT Containers reduces the expenses of relying on public IoT cloud platforms and provides the easiest, most convenient, and highly-configurable IoT stack for developers to accelerate development with low time to market.
